 Douglas Dowling
Douglas Dowling-registered architect, urban planner with over 30 years of experience. Starting with the crescent of the rock scarp and the crescent sweeping views of the course, we designed two bold sweeping forms where we juxtapose off center radial curve. We took advantage of the undulating site to configure at grade access to each of the three floors. As we evolved these shapes an appropriate metaphor appeared , that of a falcon, a bird of prey who might likely occupy the high rock outcroppings of this terrain. What has evolved is a juxtaposition of curving and sloping roof forms complimenting the site, providing a uniquely memorable user experience and supportive of function.
